Typical target audience member of an action film

The typical rating for an action film is 12-15 certificate, this means that youth audiences are able to watch action films. studios include themes, recogniseable settings and action stars that would appeal or attract to a youth audience. For example of the setting of an action film it is often set in a city such as London or New york; Action stars may be Bruce Willis, Daniel Craig and Matt Dayman. Actions films are fasted pace with tense music and feature lots of explosions and fights. A youth audience would like to see fights, explosions, gun shots, death and car chases so action films appeal to them. The audience would engage with this genre because it would entertain them and let them escape from their daily lives. Also teenagers like fighting games and adventure computer games so in theory action films would appeal to them.
