The opening pictures of saw 3 shows me consecutive flashing images of what appears to be a man wearing a pig mask, this could represent them as the protagonist. you also see a pocket clock showing the time getting smaller and smaller like something is about to happen. there is a man fixing some sort of face or creating something, the shot of the man is a close up showing his face in a dark background not showing his full identity. They mainly use girls in this film as they are the victims and are shown or represented as vulnerable in horror films. They are portrayed as stupid in many horror films and don't seem to get a leading role in these types of films. There are also alot of flashing and moving images to make you feel the tension the scene is trying to set, and make you scared and thrilled to go watch this film.
