In this opening trailer the first person you see is tony stark, Iron Man. This could mean he is a significant part in this film and is one of the main characters. the shots you see are medium shots, fading of to a over the shoulder shot of Nick Fury. There is Non-digetic sound of music in the background building suspense, and a narative of Nick Fury speaking to Iron Man. These next few cut scenes show the action in the films, such as explosions, gun fire and fight scene featuring the Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Scarlett Johansson and Hawkeye. You don't see the villain in this trailer as it makes you wonder who the actual villain is and we know it is Loki. There are also many Non-digetic sounds near to the end to create tension building up the the avengers logo.
In this film they use a mix of characters of hero's from many different films to make the best film possible to create using all superhumans. They use a woman as a hero to balance in out as there aren't many superhuman girls in action films mainly men as you can see there are four other male heros.
