Evaluation of questionnaire

The purpose of our questionnaire is to find out what everyone thinks how the film should be set out, settings to character appearance. Our questionnaire helped us to shape our idea by using answers from our questionnaire questions, we based the film on a horror theme. This made our film more scary and intense.

Electronic Objects.

GE DV1 video recorder.

GE DV1GE’s DV1  is the camera that is offered by our school, it is helpful that if anything goes wrong we can use this video recorder as our back-up. In case any problems occur to the camcorder, the company claims it’s waterproof to five meters and can survive a 1.5-meter drop. The GE DV1  is a neat soap bar design, it can hold up to 32GB. The camera is simple and easy to use as you control it through a directional touch pad and a simple menu system, and there are shortcuts for filming, playback and deleting videos. It allows you to record in 1080p, or 720p.

Costume research

In a horror film you would expect to see characters wearing dark clothes (e.g. black or blue). As our characters are teenagers on a camping trip we have chosen to dress them in warm, practical outdoor clothing, whilst still suiting the idea of wearing dark colours to suit the horror stereotype. One character will be wearing a black tracksuit and the other will be wearing trousers and a warm jacket. We feel that by dressing our characters in a mixture of their own clothes and clothes to suit a horror film, that audience members will be able to relate to them as they are around the same age as our target audience. We will have the characters carrying bags, as you would on your way to a camping trip, this will make the reason for our chosen setting more clear to the audience without using dialogue.

Soundtrack

We are using slow intimidating music for the intro of the film trailer, it will be very creepy with sounds with low key and high key music. This will be to build tension through-out the trailer and make the film watchers scared. I've chosen these two bits of music as I feel it would fit in with the type of film we're making, as it builds up a lot of tension and suspension.

We have chosen to use Day of chaos and Unseen Horrors.
